I found the poems written by Marlowe very easy to read. I liked the Passionate Shepherd poem because of its examples of courtship. The man asks his love interest to come live with him and just enjoy nature. There, at his house they can enjoy the sites of the shepherd with their flocks and the flowers, roses in their beds. He is saying that they can be happy together, and only he would be happy if she would choose to live with him.
I thought the poem written by Ralegh and Elizabeth was another good example of courtship, courtship at its best. It included examples of seduction, flirtation, and just the first stage of love when two people where trying genuinely to get to know each other. What happened to courtship? I guess today people don't want to take things slow and get to know one another before they just rush getting into a relationship.
