I found this speech was very informative. She was telling the troops and any and everyone who looked up to her to trust her, that she would not deceive them. She assured them that she would honor them, and they should not be disapponted in her. She wanted them to know that she may be old but she was young at heart. Just because she was a woman, did not mean they could not trust her, she had the heart of a king.
