Twelfth Knight Continued 2-3

In Act 2 a new character is revealed to the audience and in our case the readers. Antonio, is the captain of the ship and he takes Viola's twin, Sebastain into his house to feed, keep warm and just nurse to back to good health. Viola just like her brother is so unaware that her/ his twin is still alive and made it through the shipwreck. Since their father is already dead, they both feel so alone thinking the other is dead also. Antonio leaves with Sebastain to go to the court which he knows he has enemies there, but because Antonio is his friend, he puts all that behind him and he leaves with him to help and protect him. I say that is a tru that will help you in the tough times, not just leave when you need help the most. Antonio seems to be on the true characters of the play because he shows true friendship, and self sacrifice along with selflessness. He thought of his friend before himself. If only all friends look at friendship as Antonio did.
